Welcome everyone!

Metroid Suicide part 5 is going to be a collaborative effort to bring Newgrounds some Metroid randomness. Anyone is welcome to join. If you have an idea that would bring ROFLs to the table then jump in! Before you get started though, here are the required document properties for your flash:

SIZE: 800px X 500px
FPS: 30
ACTIONSCRIPT: 3.0
SCENE LENGTH: 5 - 20 seconds
DEADLINE: TBA

Here are some other pointers I'd like to point out

- You are welcome to use any of the enemies and bosses except Mother Brain. DO NOT use Samus or Etecoons (the 3 green guys)
- Good reference for a random scene is charging chuck from Metroid Suicide part 3 or the space pirate scene from Metroid Suicide part 4.
- Your random scene does not have to be on planet Zebes. (like mine are) I would like to see how other game characters would be random on Zebes though.
- The overall design of the movie will be with sprites. However, if you can make your scene more hilarious with drawn or vector graphics please do so.

WHEN COMPLETE:
o Store your animation in a single movieclip symbol within your .FLA file.
o Upload your .FLA file to your dumping grounds in your newgrounds account.
o PM me with the files location as a link (I WILL NOT open a link that is to another site to grab your file)

Remember that your scene does not have to take up the whole 20 seconds. Your part could be the funniest 5 seconds of the whole movie. If you for some reason need to go past 20 seconds let me know with a PM and possibly a link to your .swf file.

AUDIO:
Remember that the Newgrounds size limit for submissions is 10MB. Audio optimization will make a strong impact on your file size. Check out Audio Optimization to better understand this concept.

If you need some music, parody ideas, or anything metroid related check out the Metroid Database. Sprite sheets can be found via Google.

ACTIONSCRIPT:
Not a lot here. This is a movie so minimal code will be written. I chose action script 3 because it's awesome . All actionscript will be managed by me. If you make your part interactive with actionscript, give me heads up on what it does before hand.

DEADLINE:
There is no due date at the moment so don't rush creativity. When I decide on a deadline it will be about one months time after I post it.

Authors are encouraged to network with each other so if you need some help with anything go ahead and comment on this post! If you use Skype then PM me with your user name if you want to text or chat with me about anything. Any questions or concerns about the details PM me.
